CI/CD stands for Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (or Continuous Delivery). Continuous Integration is the practice of automatically building and testing code changes frequently, often multiple times a day, to detect integration errors early. Continuous Deployment extends this by automatically deploying every change that passes the testing pipeline to production. The term 'Continuous Delivery' is sometimes used interchangeably with Continuous Deployment, but the key distinction is that Continuous Delivery requires manual approval before production deployment, while Continuous Deployment is fully automated. The incorrect options include 'Continuous Information / Continuous Development' and 'Cloud Integration / Cloud Development', which are not standard terms in DevOps. 'Continuous Integration / Continuous Development' is partially correct but uses 'Development' instead of 'Deployment' or 'Delivery', which is not the standard acronym.
