There are experiences of social struggles for the cultural reappropriation of nature that are emblematic movements, such as that of the rubber tappers in Brazil, who, from the union struggle for the commercialization of rubber, went on to invent the concept of extractive reserves and are advancing towards a new mode of production, a new productive rationality, showing that it is possible to live well, and not just survive, in harmony with the nature they inhabit. The new planet we can imagine is made up of these productive territories that are not just self-sufficient economies but economies that enhance the ecological productivity of their territories.
